A slight rejig of the groups saw Aaron, David, Jon and Peter M play San Juan while Colin and I joined Neil for Last night on earth (not literally; that's the name of the game, obviously). Colin and I, playing for the first time, took charge of the heroes leaving Neil to command zombies. To say that we were up against it for a lot of the game is an understatement; the rounds fell away with very little being accomplished (aside from Sister Ophelia arming herself to the teeth) when we desperately needed to find gasoline and keys to escape in a truck. Finally, Sister Ophelia made her way to the truck with the gasoline but was soon surrounded by 3 zombies. 3 doubles later and they were history: unbelievable! The situation was still dire when Sheriff Anderson finally got the keys for the truck; at least 2 of our heroes had to make it onto the truck for the heroes to win. In truly breathtaking fashion, Sheriff Anderson and Nikki both got the high rolls they needed to escape onto the truck but Victor looked to have come up one square short. NOT SO! Colin played his rainy day event card to give Victor one extra movement and provide Colin and me with a 'high five' moment. All 4 of our heroes had survived against all of the odds. What a great experience. Not for Neil.
Meanwhile, David won a close Love Letter encounter to round off a fantastic evening.
